Here you will find a collection of odd essays, and occasional story and a little information about writing Science Fiction.
The webmaster, Keith P. Graham, has been contributing to this site for about 10 years.
Keith recently received some hate mail concerning the 10 Laws of Good Science Fiction page and the List of Science Fiction Clichés page. Keith gets these regularly, usually from people who have written stories or novels that are total dreck and Keith’s statements challenge their illusions of being an author.
Here is part of his response.
I read your email with interest. I’m sorry you feel the way you do.
Your argument did nothing to convince me, though. In fact that you had
to resort to invoking a Star Trek reference indicates that you have no
real argument. (Star Trek is television and has little in common with real
SF.)One note, the cliches list is created by anonymous visitors to the
site. I am not responsible for one of them. The typos, inanities, and
repetitions are all entered by people like you.Rather than send me abusive missives, I would suggest you start your
own site and put the content you would prefer to read there and never
again look at my pages. The big red x in the upper right hand corner
of the browser is a far more useful way of expressing your opinions.
